Beauty and the Beast Featurette

It seems Disney’s newest tradition surrounding its major theatrical releases is to show us featurettes, that advertise trailers, that advertise movies. We got one of those featurettes for Doctor Strange yesterday, and today it’s for Disney’s 2017, live-action Beauty and the Beast.

I’m not complaining because I’m a sucker for hype, and as a 31 year old, adult, img_1683-1heterosexual, male I’m wondering why I’m so excited to see this film. Don’t judge me, I play fantasy football and I like beer also. Anyways, I have some personal things to sort out, but Disney’s animated Beauty and the Beast (1991) was a classic, and until Disney-Pixar’s up was released in 2010, it was the only animated film to be nominated for best picture. The film still won two Oscar’s for best music and best original song. But alas, with the modern day tools of CGI and motion capture technology combined with the overwhelming craving society has for nostalgic memories of the 80’s and 90’s, this like many other Disney animated classics was destined for a live-action remake. Don’t think this is the last one either because Disney has slew of remakes slated for the coming years and if half of them are as good as Jungle Book, I think it’s safe to say we’re all fine with it.

So without further ado, here’s the Featurette that advertises the first full trailer for Beauty and the Beast on September 6th, starring Emma Watson as Belle and Dan Stevens as Beast. Beauty and the Beast Featurette
