Gene Wilder 1933-2016

The family of Gene Wilder has confirmed today that the star of Willy Wonka and The Chocolate Factory, as well as several Mel Brooks comedy classics such as Blazing Saddles and Young Frankenstein has passed away due to complications from Alzheimer’s disease.


With hair as wild and eccentric as the characters he played, Gene Wilder is a legend in Hollywood for his chops as a comedic actor. His partnership with Mel Brooks made him a legend but it’s his role as the titular character Willy Wonka that he will be most remembered.
